HitchGoblin
Coming soon · UK caravan towing safety

Know your nose weight.
Tow with confidence.

A new way to get your caravan loaded safely — starting as a simple calculator, growing into a live weighing sensor. No drilling, no guesswork.

The number that decides how your caravan tows

Nose weight — the downward force your caravan’s coupling puts on the tow ball — is one of the biggest factors in towing stability. Get it wrong and you’re more likely to experience snaking or swaying at speed, especially in crosswinds or when a lorry passes. Most caravans need it somewhere between 5% and 7% of the caravan’s laden weight, and never above the lower of your tow ball’s rating or your caravan’s maximum permitted nose weight.

Most owners only ever check it once, if at all — because doing it properly has meant a separate gauge, a bit of maths, and a bit of guesswork about whether the numbers are actually safe for their specific car and caravan. HitchGoblin is built to fix that.
